CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Radford baseball team mustered just four hits as they fell to No. 21 Virginia by an 8-0 final on Wednesday afternoon at Disharoon Park.

Austin Stalker was a bright spot in the loss for Radford (8-40), going 2-for-3 with a walk. Stalker extended his hitting streak to seven games, and has also been on base in a season-high 17 straight.
The Highlanders used nine different pitchers in the contest, led by RHP
Ty Burton, who tossed a scoreless first inning in his abbreviated start.
Foster Seitz and
Gannon Kadlecik also put up zeroes out of the bullpen.
Virginia (38-11) was paced by Jake Gelof, who went 3-for-3 with three RBI. Jack O'Connor was the winning pitcher for the Cavaliers, pitching three scoreless frames.
Zack Mallia took the loss for Radford.

Landon Higgerson reclaimed the national lead in appearances as he recorded one out in the eighth. It was Higgerson's 33rd outing of the season, surpassing Cody Delvecchio of UCLA.
