SERIES HISTORY
Radford and Winthrop will meet for the 87th time in program history Sunday afternoon, the most-ever meetings between two squads for Radford. The Highlanders own a 67-19 edge in the series with Radford winning 7 of the last 10 meetings. As of late, it's been a back-and-forth affair between the two teams with each team going 3-3 over the last six meetings. Last season in Dedmon, Radford won convincingly 74-45 behind 15 points and six rebounds by Ashlyn Traylor-Walker.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles opened Big South play with a win at Longwood but have fell in their last two conference games to USC Upstate and Presbyterian. Prior to that, the Eagles had a strong nonconference season with notable victories over South Carolina State and Georgia State. The Eagles are currently off to one of their best starts under fourth-year head coach Semeka Randall Lay.

Winthrop has three players averaging at least nine points per game in Jada Ryce (9.4 ppg), Marissa Gasaway (9.3 ppg) and Ronaltha Marc (9.1 ppg). Gasaway currently also leads the conference in rebounding averaging 9.9 rebounds per game. Ryce is also a menace on the defensive end with 36 steals.

WAGNER MAKES HISTORY
In Wednesday's game against Longwood, the home fans were treated to a historical performance by Olivia Wagner. The sophomore shot a perfect 7 for 7 from three-point range in the game setting a career-high with 23 points. Wagner became the first-ever Highlander to shoot a perfect three-point mark that high and is the second player in Big South's 40 year history to accomplish the mark.

LAST TIME 2-0…
The last time the Highlanders opened Big South play with a 2-0 record was the 2019-20 season where the team won its first two conference games before ultimately finishing with a 15-5 overall conference record placing second in the conference standings. In those wins, both came inside Dedmon 54-42 over Presbyterian and 72-35 over Charleston Southern. While the season ended abruptly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Radford still earned the program's seventh-ever bid into the WNIT.
