SERIES HISTORY
Radford and USC Upstate match up for the 13th time in program history with Radford owning a 9-3 edge in the series. USC Upstate snapped a seven-game winning streak by Radford two seasons ago, but the two teams split the series last season with each home team winning. At Spartanburg last season, Ashlyn Traylor-Walker led the scoring with 18 points while Olivia Wagner also added six points.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
The Spartans had won their first three Big South games before falling to Longwood earlier this week for their first conference loss. USC Upstate had won five of their last seven games up to that point with wins over Western Carolina, Furman, UNC Asheville, Winthrop and Charleston Southern.

The Spartans leading scorer comes off the bench in Isabell West who averages 10.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Rebekah Gordon has started in all 17 games for the Spartans this season and also averages 9 points per game. The offense runs through Trinity Johnson who is one of the conference's top assister with 71 already this season.

LAVOILE-BRICE DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Newcomer Terissa Lavoile-Brice secured the second double-double of her career and first against a Division I opponent against Gardner-Webb. The freshman was electric on the boards with eight of her rebounds coming on the offensive end. Thanks to 4-5 shooting from the floor and 4-6 free throw shooting she also racked up 12 points, reaching double figures scoring for the second time in her career.

CLUTCH FREE THROWS
Supporting the team's 43% overall shooting Wednesday night was a astrong 77% free throw pace over 38 attempts against the Runnin' Bulldogs. The Highlanders' 38 free throw attempts are their most since attempting 50 in the Big South Semifinals against Presbyterian in 2019. Olivia Wagner was a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe while Ashlyn Traylor-Walker also sunk 8 of her 10 attempts.
