PLAY BY PLAY
The Highlanders had one of their best starts to a game this season immediately taking a lead against the visiting Catamounts that would hold until deep in the game. Napper got her big day started with Radford's first points while Carlson also added a three to make it a 7-0 Radford lead early.

Scoring wouldn't come easy for the Catamounts early, as Radford's defense was able to hold them to just seven points through the opening quarter. Leading 13-6, Radford added on at the free throw line three minutes into the second quarter as Napper made it a 17-6 advantage.

Radford's defense continued to play the largest role as both offenses looked to string points together. At the end of the first half, Radford led comfortably 24-16. Out of the break, the Catamounts hit a three in the opening minutes of the second half that ignited the team.

Radford was paced by Williams and Napper who helped keep the lead intact. But the Catamounts offense had found its step and ended the third quarter on a buzzer-beating three that made it just a 40-39 Radford advantage.

In the fourth, the Catamounts earned their first lead of the game as both teams would trade shots back and forth. Radford got crucial points from Napper down the stretch who scored the team's final eight points. After Western Carolina got a big second chance layup to take the lead 54-53, Radford had multiple good looks in their final possessions that just rang out allowing the Catamounts to escape with the 55-53 final.
