SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday's meeting marks the 14th meeting between the two squads and the first since Mike McGuire and the 2018-19 program went into John Paul Jones Arena and pulled off a resounding 57-44 victory. The win was the first for the Highlanders in Charlottesville, Va. since the 1976-77 season as program standouts Destinee Walker, Khiana Johnson and Savannah Felgemacher dropped 10+ points to lead Radford in the power victory. Overall in the series, Virginia owns 8-5 record with a 7-2 record at home.

SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS
The Cavaliers are coming off a tough loss to a top-10 Oklahoma team but had previously opened their season with a dominant 104-68 victory over American. Third-year head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton has the Cavaliers ready to compete in an ACC field loaded with talent.

Guard Kymora Johnson was selected to the ACC's preseason all-conference team and is off to a hot start in her sophomore season with 31 points, eight rebounds, 13 assists and a trio of steals through two games. Freshman forward Breona Hurd has also been electric so far with a team-best 33 points on 44% shooting.

NAPPER'S CAREER DAY
In Sunday's game against Western Carolina, transfer Taylor Napper had a career day. The senior set a new career high for points with 21, her first time eclipsing 20 points in a single game. Her big performance came from an efficient 55% shooting performance but also an incredible 9-10 mark from the free throw line. Her 33 minutes and seven rebounds in the contest were also season-bests through three games.

TRAYLOR-WALKER FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Adelyn Traylor-Walker, the third Traylor-Walker sister to don a Highlander uniform, set a strong first impression in her first week of action. The newcomer got her career off to a solid start coming off the bench for some key scoring this past week. In her collegiate debut, Traylor-Walker scored seven points at #11 Duke. She was also a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line while totaling five blocks on the defensive end, most on the team.
