SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's meeting marks the seventh time in the storied histories of Radford and Navy's women's basketball programs that the two squads will face off. The series is currently knotted up at 3 apiece with the first meeting coming in 1991 and the most recent face-off coming in 2008. Radford has won each of the 3 meetings in the Dedmon Center with Navy winning each of the 3 meetings in Annapolis, Md.

SCOUTING THE MIDSHIPMEN
Fifth-year head coach Tim Taylor currently has his Midshipmen in the middle of one of their best starts to a season in recent memory winning their first four games. Navy has claimed victory over Rider, Wagner, Iona outpacing their opponents with an average 77.8 ppg while allowing just 49.0 ppg.

Reigning Patriot Freshman of the Year Zanai Barnett-Gay has led the team so far with 14.3 ppg and 6.5 rpg while adding in 12 assists and 10 steals. During the 2023-24 season, Barnett-Gay ranked 12th nationally in steals and has been a driving force in helping the Midshipmen posting a +7 turnover differential.

STROMBERG'S STRONG SHOWING
Freshman Anna Stromberg turned heads in Radford's meeting with Virginia earlier this week. The newcomer broke out for career best totals of eight points and six rebounds, the boards being most on the team. After scoring her first career points at #11 Duke, Stromberg is looking to stay hot as the nonconference slate continues.

HISTORY AT THE GREENBRIER
Radford and Navy will make history on Sunday as the first women's basketball teams to play a game at the Greenbrier Resort. Just a year prior, Radford's men's program also made history as the first men's team to play at the resort winning at the buzzer against Marshall.
