SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Spartans will meet for the 13th time in program history Wednesday night with Radford having the 8-4 series edge. In a return trip for Radford after meeting in 2023, Norfolk State took last season's meeting in the Dedmon Center after slipping away late with a big second half showing.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
Coming off an exciting 2023-24 season where the Spartans claimed a MEAC regular season and tournament championship, Norfolk State has picked up right where they left off this season under 10th year head coach Larry Vickers. The Spartans have already claimed notable nonconference victories over William & Mary, Longwood, Hampton and on the power stage against Missouri.

Diamond Johnson led the offense last season and is off to more of the same this year averaging 17.8 ppg through five starts. Kierra Wheeler and Niya Fields also average double figures scoring for the Spartans, with Wheeler also averaging 8.8 rebounds per game with 13 blocks. As a team the Spartans are shooting at a near 40% clip averaging over seven three-pointers made a game.

WILLIAMS SETS THE STAGE
Joi Williams was a breakout performer in the Highlanders last game against Navy, setting the stage for an exciting game at The Greenbrier. the sophomore led the Highlanders in points, rebounds and assists; the first to do so since the 2023 season. Her 19 points also marked a career-high performance with four three-pointers.

DOUBLE DATE WITH NORFOLK
After hosting Hampton earlier this season, another Norfolk-area team, Radford will look to post a winning trend. Against Norfolk State's rivals, the Lady Pirates, Radford earned their first win of the season behind 10+ points from four different Highlanders. Williams, Cate Carlson, Adriana Shipp-Davis and Makayla Firebaugh all chipped in for the Education Day victory.
