BLANKET DRIVE
As a part of Sunday's contest, Radford women's basketball is partnering with the Women's Resource Center of the New River Valley and Radford SAAC to run a winter blanket drive before the game. Fans are encouraged to bring a NEW blanket to donate to those in need.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's meeting will mark the 12th meeting between the two programs with it also being a rematch of last season's game in Cullowhee, N.C. Radford won that match-up 67-49 to open the 2023-24 campaign and owns the series history by an 8-3 margin. The two squads last met in the Dedmon Center in 2016 where Radford also won 67-39.

SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
The Catamounts are coming off an impressive pair of victories to begin their season. First-year head coach Jonathan Tsipis has already led his Catamounts to wins over Warren Wilson and Campbell. Most recently, Western Carolina would use a strong comeback effort to edge Campbell in the closing seconds 73-72 at home.

Through two games, the Catamounts have four players who have eclipsed double figures scoring averages on the season. Led by graduate guard AC Cater (15.5 ppg), Tya Beans has also been vital early with 12.0 ppg and 11.0 rpg. It's been a hot shooting start overall for the squad who has hit 70 of their first 140 shot attempts of the season.

WILLIAMS LEADS THE SCORING
In Radford's 65-55 win over Hampton earlier this week, sophomore Joi Williams dropped 13 points to help lead the Highlanders scoring efforts. It marked the first time Williams scored the most points on the team and marked the third time in her last five games played that she's finished with 10+ points.

CLEANING UP POSSESSIONS
One thing Radford will look to clean up going into Sunday's game will be the turnovers. In Radford's win over Hampton, the Highlanders fell victim to 28 turnovers but were able to hold on to win thanks in part to an efficient shooting performance. Radford shot 50% on 44 shot attempts and on the defensive end would hold the Lady Pirates to 22 points off their turnovers to keep themselves ahead for the eventual win.
