Women’s Basketball Returns Home to Host UVA Wise Friday Afternoon

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's basketball program is back at home after four straight road games to host UVA Wise on Friday as a part of a doubleheader with the men's basketball program who plays at 1 p.m., all inside the Dedmon Center.

DOUBLEHEADER FACULTY/STAFF APPRECIATION
Friday's doubleheader with the men's and women's basketball teams will be a faculty/staff appreciation day. Any Radford University employee with a valid ONE Card will get two free tickets as well as up to four discounted tickets when presented to the ticket office prior to the game.
 
The doubleheader also features a buy-one get-one free ticket deal. Fans who purchase a ticket to the men's game at 1 p.m. will also receive a free ticket to the women's game at 3:30 p.m.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Cavaliers will meet in the regular season for the first time in program history on Friday. Sixth-year head coach Jamie Cluesman has her team off to a 6-6 record through the first half of the season with three conference wins. Senior guard Sable Burnside has led the offense with 15.9 ppg and 6.0 rpg while also leading the team with 28 steals.
 
SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS
The Cavaliers come into Friday's meeting fresh off a 80-75 victory over Mars Hill in SAC play.
 
BACK ON THE HOMEFRONT
After four straight games away from home, Radford returns to the Dedmon Center for three straight games to end nonconference play and kick off Big South play. After hosting UVA Wise, the Highlanders will host Bluefield on Dec. 20 and open Big South play and 2025 at home against High Point on Jan. 2.
