SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Bulldogs close out the regular season against each other for the second time in program history (last doing so in 96-97) despite this being the 88th all-time meeting between the two squads. Earlier this season inside Dedmon, Radford's defense helped guide the way to a dominant 59-46 win. Taniya Hanner went off for Radford, scoring 22 points which was at the time a career-best.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs come into Saturday's meeting having lost six of their last seven games but were on bye while the rest of the conference played last Wednesday night. Two of the Bulldogs four conference wins so far came within Kimmel Arena. Senior guard McKinley Brooks-Sumpter leads the scoring efforts and is one of the best scorers in the conference averaging 14.1 points per game.
SPARK OFF THE BENCH
In Wednesday's contest against Charleston Southern, Radford's offense needed a spark midway through the second quarter. Freshman Arshae Jackson, who saw a career-high amount of floor time in the game, sunk a three-pointer that ignited the bench, crowd and offense. From that point on, Radford outpaced Charleston Southern by 16 points in the eventual 81-68 final.
FIVE AT 10+
Radford was led by five different players scoring double figures against Charleston Southern earlier this week including Ashlyn Traylor-Walker (18), Joi Williams (17), Ellie Taylor (12), Olivia Wagner (12) and Terissa Lavoile-Brice (12). It marked the first time Radford has had 5+ players score 10+ points since March 2nd, 2023, against Presbyterian in the Big South quarterfinals.
