CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Radford women's track and field program competed in the UVA Challenge Friday and Saturday. Four Highlanders bettered their time to spots in the record book over the weekend.
Sophie Magson started the record breaking performances in the 1500m coming in eleventh place. With a personal best of 4:28.69, Magson also put her name at third in the record book.
MegAnne Gilmore followed in the 800m to earn her personal best of 4:48.69 to move into fifth in Radford's record book.
Two Highlanders earned record book finishes in the 5000m as well.
Mackenzie Brownrigg competed in the first heat with a time of 17:53.88 earning a personal record. In the following heat,
Chloe Wellings tallied 14th place overall in the race to maintain second place in the record book. At 16:22.23, she earned a new PR.
Jaslyne Robinson ran her way to a time of 14.98 in the 100m hurdles.
Kandace McIvor earned her season best of 15.37 not too far behind Robinson in placement.
Dezmajia Carter also marked her season best in the long jump with a distance of 5.12m.
