HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Highlanders continued to dominate at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships Tuesday at High Point.
Sophie Magson's 3000 steeplechase was the highlight for the evening as she earned a second place finish.
Magson's time of 11:03.20 put gave her a podium finish of second and rounded out the impressive day for the Highlanders.
Dezmajia Carter moved up in Radford's record book with her new personal best in the triple jump. She placed fourth with a length of 11.54m, putting her fifth in the book as well.
Kandace McIvor finished up the heptathlon today to also move up in the record book with her total score of 4182 points. Not only did she earn a personal record in the heptathlon, she also destroyed her previous distance in javelin throw to a new PR of 26.75m.
In the 100m Hurdles,
Jaslyne Robinson qualified for finals at 14.77 coming in eighth place.
Raichelle Cornelius also qualified in the 400m with a time of 57.61 for seventh place. Additionally,
Jordan Jackson obtained a personal best in this event.
Another personal best came when
Sela Beatty earned her 12.19 qualification mark in the 100m. This time put her in eighth place, respectively.
