PLAY BY PLAY
The Highlanders opened Sunday's contest by dominating possession and kept it that way through the full 90 despite multiple different lineup looks. Out the gate, Radford announced their presence with back-to-back goals in the first 10 minutes. In the sixth minute, Eileen Albers started the scoring with a smooth goal assisted by Paige Olson and Ashley Loundermon.
To double that lead and retake the team lead in goals, Lilly Short had a smooth kick assisted by Jashyra Johnson making it 2-0 in the seventh minute. In the 17th minute Radford struck again as Albers earned her second goal of the game assisted by Short and Jillian Silverstone.
With the duo of Short and Albers tied for the team lead in goals again, it was Short who struck last to make it a 4-0 lead thanks to another assist from Silverstone. Finishing the first half, Silverstone assisted her third straight goal this time to freshman Tamirra Young who scored her first collegiate goal.
Young wasn't done yet and would open Radford's scoring in the second half. In the 48th minute, fellow freshman Ciaira Pomeroy-Anderson found Young once again to make it a 6-0 advantage. Radford's final two goals came from Marley Krach in the 64th minute and Katie Purnell in the 71st minute to finalize the 8-0 victory.

HEAD COACH SOHRABI QUOTABLE
"It's great to get two wins this week. In addition to that, it's great to get a pair of shutouts as well. The team performed well this week in training and games. One of the things I liked about today's game was that no matter who we put it into the game the intensity remained the same." – Ben Sohrabi.
