BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Radford women's track & field program dropped two more season best and top-five conference performances to put an emphatic close on the Highlanders' record-setting 2025 Virginia Tech Invitational inside Rector Field House on Saturday afternoon.

Raichelle Cornelius got the day started with a bang in the women's 400-meter final with a season best showing. She clocked in at fourth in her heat and 10th in the event overall with a time of 58.26. To go with being ranked as the third-best performance in the Big South so far during indoors, it was also the fastest opening time in the event to start a season of the junior's collegiate career.
- A day after setting a school record in the 300-meter final,
Jeylah Hamrick followed it up with another season best in the women's 200-meter final on Saturday. The freshman raced to a fifth-place finish in her section and 19th-place finish overall at 25.61. Along with being a season best, the mark is now slotted in at fifth in the conference.
NEXT UP
The Highlanders will have a chance to continue their stellar start to the indoor campaign with a return to Virginia Tech's Rector Field House for the 2025 Hokie Invitational. The two-day meet runs Friday, January 24 through Saturday, January 25 just down the road in Blacksburg.
