BLACKSBURG, Va. – With most of the squad on a well-deserved break after a record-setting Virginia Tech Invitational, the Radford women's track & field program had three student-athletes compete at the Hokie Invitational on Friday inside Rector Field House.
The meet featured one personal record and one season best for the Highlanders.

Danae Niles took fifth in her heat and 26th overall with a personal best of 7.98 in the 60-meter preliminary round. The showing is ranked in a tie for 14th best in the Big South.

Kandace McIvor crossed the line in 25th overall in the 60-meter prelims with a season-best time of 9.53. The performance slots in at eighth overall in the conference.

Makayla Nelson rounded out the evening with an 18th-place finish in the long jump finals with a best leap of 5.14-meters (16-10 ½). She still ranks fourth in the event in the Big South.
NEXT UP
Radford will return to the track with a full squad for the VMI Winter Relays that run Friday, January 31 through Saturday, February 1 at the CPTF-Corps Physical Training Facility.
