THE HISTORY BOOK
Including regular season and exhibition games, this is the ninth meeting between Radford and Lynchburg. They met for the first time in Radford's inaugural season (1971). Most recently, the Highlanders took down the Hornets, 67-27, in an exhibition game on Nov. 5, 2017.

HORNET'S NEST
Fifth year Head Coach Allison Nichols looks to get the Hornets back to a winning record after finishing 10-14 (6-10 ODAC) last season. Despite winning their final two contests last season against Randolph and Mary Washington, they failed to make the ODAC Tournament.

Lynchburg returns four of their starting five from last season, including seniors Bree Spainhour (11.0 PPG) and Brooke Cason (5.3 PPG). Joining the Hornets' coaching staff are a pair of former NCAA Division I basketball standouts in Felicia Aiyeotan (Virginia) and Makenzie Bray (Merrimack).

MIKE DROP
Head Coach Mike McGuire begins his 13th season leading the program and is looking for his sixth postseason bid and seventh winning season since the 2014-15 season. The Highlanders received a first-place vote and were picked to finish third in the conference at Big South Media Day earlier this month. Returning starters Joi Williams and Cate Carlson were both selected to the preseason all-conference first team.
