A LOOK BACK
The Highlanders and Tar Heels will meet for the fourth time in program history Tuesday night and for the second time in three seasons. North Carolina has a 3-0 edge in the series, with two of those three meetings coming in Chapel Hill. The third came on neutral ground in Greensboro, N.C. in the opening round of the 2009 NCAA Tournament with Radford (16th seed) falling to North Carolina (1st seed).

FINDING THE OFFENSIVE RYTHYM
Radford's offense has gotten off to an electric start through the first two games this season averaging 89.5 points on a blistering 55% overall shooting clip. Through a limited sample size, nine different Highlanders are shooting over 50% led by graduate Tyson Brown who has hit 10 of his 12 shots so far. After a tough shooting night in the opener from beyond the arc, Radford rebounded against West Virginia Wesleyan shooting 37% from deep led by Jaylon Johnson's four three-pointers.

EARLY MOVES FROM ERICHSEN
Freshman Frederik Erichsen made a great first impression with the Highlanders this past week. The Copenhagen, Denmark native logged 36 minutes of time over two games shooting 55% averaging 10 points, 2 assists, and 4 rebounds. Setting his first career highs with seven points and three boards assisting a big three down the stretch in a tight win over Western Illinois, Erichsen followed that up starting Friday's win with a triple from deep that also opened Radford's scoring from three-point range. His 20 points over the team's first two games are the most by a Radford freshman since Kenyon Giles opened the 2022-23 season with 35 points.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
North Carolina enters Tuesday night's meeting coming off a big victory over #19 Kansas. Under fifth-year head coach Hubert Davis' guidance, North Carolina is led by freshman guard Caleb Wilson who has totaled 46 points through the first two games of the season. Seth Trimble also returns from the 24-25 squad where he averaged 11.6 ppg and has opened this season averaging 14.5 ppg.

In the most recent victory over the Jayhawks, it was an electric second half that propelled the Tar Heels to victory. Trailing by eight entering the halftime break, North Carolina shot 67% overall and 42% from three over the final 20 minutes to flip the result and break a five-game losing skid to Kansas. North Carolina also opened the season with a dominant 94-54 victory over Central Arkansas.
