Last Time Out: Radford ran into a strong opponent on Sunday, taking a 77-46 loss to ACC-power Virginia in Charlottesville. The size of the Cavaliers proved too much, with the home side dominating the rebounding category 48-19. The loss snapped the Highlanders' two-game winning streak. Joi Williams led Radford with 10 points.

McGuire to the Top: On Tuesday, Head Coach Mike McGuire passed Radford Hall of Famer and first women's basketball coach Pat Barrett (1971-84) with his 194th win at the helm. McGuire is in his 13th season leading the program and is the longest tenured active coach in the Big South. He boasts a 194-176 (.524) record and a 102-47 (.685) record in home games. McGuire is looking for his eighth win in 14 games against current Southern Conference members.

Scouting Furman: Similar to the Highlanders, the Paladins enter with a 2-3 mark on the season, with most of their losses coming to the hands of power four conference opponents. Their two wins came against North Greenville (85-27) on Nov. 3 and Georgia State (90-89 OT) on Nov. 13, both in Greenville. Two of their three defeats were at Georgia (45-91) and Vanderbilt (48-96). They lost a tight game against Campbell, 68-61, on Sunday night. Preseason All-Southern Conference Team member and sophomore forward Clare Coyle leads the Paladins with 13.2 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game.

Series History: This is just the third meeting between the two schools, with the series tied 1-1. Radford won the first meeting 73-61 at the Dedmon Center back on December 1, 2021. The Paladins then defended their home court with a 75-67 triumph on December 18, 2022. This is Radford's only scheduled game against a Southern Conference foe for the 2025-26 season.

Nice Start: Sophomore Angelina Nice had a career game on Tuesday versus Loyola, recording 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting, 3-of-7 from behind the arc, and 4-of-5 from the stripe in the win. Her previous career high was 10 points. After the outburst, Nice leads the team with 9.8 points per game. She added nine points on 4-of-7 shooting against the Cavaliers on Sunday.
