Last Time Out: The Highlanders stuffed Furman early and held a lead throughout in a 68-50 triumph over the Paladins. Furman recorded just four points on 2-of-14 shooting in the opening quarter. Joi Williams, Angelina Nice, and Georgia Simonsen all reached double figures. The Highlanders also drew plenty of fouls, going 17-of-29 from the free throw line. The team made a season-best nine three-pointers on their way to the third win on the season.

She's a Freshman: Georgia Simonsen poured in 10 points with eight rebounds and a career-best three blocks in the win on Wednesday. The freshman from Fairfax is currently tied for second in blocks (1 pg) and ranks eighth in rebounding (6.3 rpg) in the Big South.

What a Joi: Joi Williams knocked down four trifectas in the win on Wednesday to help lead the team with 14 points. She's reached double-digits in points three times this season and 34 total times in her career. The Preseason All-Big South player has entered the top-10 in 3-pt field goals made in a Radford career with 109 and is tied with Makaila Wilson (2018-21) for 10th.

Always Be Nice: Angelina Nice took advantage of several trips to the free throw line late to finish with 13 points in the win on Wednesday. The former walk-on leads the team with 10.3 ppg and is shooting at a 48.8% clip (21-for-43). She is one of 21 players to be averaging 10+ points a game as of Thursday in the Big South. Even more impressive is that she is the team's leading scorer despite only recording the eighth-most minutes on the squad.

Chase to 200: Head Coach Mike McGuire added win No. 195 in his career on Wednesday. He is trying to become the first coach in Radford basketball history and the sixth in Big South women's basketball history to reach 200 career wins. He became the winningest coach in program history with his 194th win on November 11 in a 59-50 triumph over Loyola Maryland.

Scouting Niagara: The Purple Eagles are still looking for their first win after a 83-46 loss at Virginia Tech on Thursday. Radford will try and avenge the only previous meeting, as the Highlanders fell in Niagara on December 2, 2023, 64-53. Niagara is averaging just 49.3 ppg with 88 turnovers through four games. They are led by Jada Pierce who is in her 11th season as head coach of the Purple Eagles.
