A LOOK BACK
The Highlanders and Mustangs have met just once in the history of both programs. That meeting came almost 40 years ago, when the Highlanders traveled to Dallas, Texas in 1986 during one of their first seasons at the Division I level. The Mustangs came out on top in that meeting by an 82-61 final margin.

PARKER JR.'S CONSISTENCY
Parker Jr. has been the Highlanders' most consistent scoring threat through seven games this season. The junior transfer from N.C. State has scored in double figures in every game and is coming off most recently a career-best 27-point performance against UNC Wilmington. He is currently one of just six Big South players that is averaging over both 15+ points and 5+ rebounds per game. Prior to his time at Radford, Parker Jr. had recorded just six games with 10+ points in previous two seasons combined and is already up to seven this season. His points per game, shooting percentage, rebounds per game and steals all currently rank top-three on the team.

THREE BALL LANDING
In the Highlanders' last game, the offense came back to life from three-point range and played a vital role in keeping up with the visiting Seahawks. Radford set a season high for both three-point percentage (.375) and three-pointers made (12) led by Dennis Parker Jr.'s career-high six makes from deep. This season, Radford's two wins have both come in games where they either outshot or tied their opponent from beyond the arc. The Highlanders, who currently rank seventh in three-point percentage in the Big South, will look to keep hot and improve the shooting from deep going into Thanksgiving week.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS
The Mustangs have gotten off to a hot start in their 2025-26 campaign winning their first six straight games, all inside the Moody Coliseum. Over that span SMU has collected decisive victories over Tarleton State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Murray State, Butler, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Arkansas State. Prior to the season, they were predicted to finish sixth in the ACC preseason poll.

Second-year head coach Andy Enfield is looking to build off the team's 2025 NIT appearance last season. Boopie Miller, a preseason second-team all-ACC member, has been as-advertised for the Mustangs and is leading the team with 19.5 ppg and a whopping 7.5 apg. Four other Mustangs are currently averaging double figures scoring, as the offense hasn't missed a beat averaging a total 93.3 ppg while only allowing 73.2 ppg.
