A LOOK BACK
The Highlanders and Keydets renew a long-running in-state rivalry on Sunday that dates all the way back to 1975. The all-time series is currently all tied up at 22-all, but Radford has taken three of the last four games including the last two straight games inside the Dedmon Center. In their last meeting in 2023-24, Radford led throughout for a dominant 73-56 win at home. Overall at home, Radford is 12-7 against their one-time Big South foes. When the two squads were both in the Big South, they also tied in the all-time series 11-11.

HOT SCORING AS OF LATE
The Highlanders' offense over the last five games has been elite, helping earn three victories with an average of 91.2 points per game. Leading that charge, due partly to his historic 53-point game, is Dennis Parker Jr. with 23.4 ppg but the junior has scored 10+ points four times and 20+ points twice. Jaylon Johnson (13.6 ppg), Lukas Walls (11.0 ppg) and Del Jones (10.0 ppg) have all also been the hot hands for the Highlanders.

FINISHING THE NONCON
Through the holiday break and over the Highlanders' next two games, the team will look to put a strong finish to the nonconference portion of their schedule. Hosting VMI and Shenandoah, Radford has been dominant on the homefront with all five of their wins coming inside Dedmon. When the Highlanders turn to conference play, they'll look to right the ship away from home with their first game coming on the road at USC Upstate on Wednesday, December 31st.

SCOUTING THE KEYDETS
The Keydets come into Sunday's contest winners of their last two straight games in dominant efforts over Christendom (89-36) and Loyola (MD) (86-70). In the win over Loyola (MD), they're best scoring effort against a Division I opponent this season, they set season highs for shooting percentage, three-point shooting, assists and scored 10+ three pointers for the sixth time in 12 games.

Four different players are averaging in double figures led by an incredible start to the season by TJ Johnson who is averaging 18.6 ppg. Johnson has scored 20+ points four times this season included a pair of 30-point games against Southern Indiana and Missouri. His 8.1 rebounds per game also leads the squad, giving him three double-doubles.
