Parker Jr. Gets Back-to-Back Big South Player of the Week Nods

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Monday afternoon that Dennis Parker Jr. has been named the conference's Player of the Week for the second straight week after his impressive 20+ points per game in a pair of games last week.

Parker Jr. stayed hot for the Highlanders averaging 26 ppg against two in-state foes last week at William & Mary and against VMI. Against a tough Tribe squad, Parker Jr. came alive late to finish with a team-high 26 points and 11 rebounds. All five of his triples came in the second half as Radford's comeback fell just short. Bouncing back in Radford's next game at VMI, he led the team's scoring once again with 26 points for the win. He scored or assisted 19 points for Radford in the second half as the team held on in the high scoring affair.

The weekly award is the second for the Highlanders this season, and the second in Parker Jr.'s career after earning the award just last week. He is the first Highlander since DaQuan Smith during the 2022-23 campaign to earn the award twice in the same season.

Radford is preparing through the holiday week for their final nonconference battle later this week in the Dedmon Center. On Sunday, December 28th, Radford hosts Shenandoah for a 2:30 p.m. tip on ESPN+.
