A LOOK BACK
The Highlanders and Hornets have met ten times in the regular season but have not met regularly since Radford's move up to Division I in 1984. From 1975 to 1979, Radford and Shenandoah met seven times with the Highlanders taking six of those meetings. Radford last faced Shenandoah in 2011, winning 79-50 inside the Dedmon Center and the program owns a 9-1 edge in the series history.

BACK-TO-BACK FOR PARKER JR.
Earlier this week, Dennis Parker Jr. earned his second straight Big South Player of the Week nod after another impressive week of play that led Radford to a split against in-state foes William & Mary and VMI. Averaging 26 ppg on the week, he posted a team-high 26 points and 11 rebounds against the Tribe as all five of his triples came in the second half as Radford's comeback fell just short. Bouncing back in Radford's next game at VMI, he led the team's scoring once again with 26 points for the win.

FINISH NONCON STRONG
Radford will look to finish the nonconference slate strong, currently winners of three of their last four games. The Highlanders have been especially hot at home with a 6-2 record at Dedmon but will look to right that ship in their first Big South battle which comes on the road at USC Upstate on December 31st. Highlanders Parker Jr. and Jaylon Johnson both lead the Big South in major stat categories going into conference play, with Parker Jr. (20.0 ppg) leading the conference's scoring efforts and Johnson (2.4 spg) leading the stealing efforts.

SCOUTING THE HORNETS
The Hornets are off to a solid 6-4 start under fourth-year head coach Nick Doyle. The team is currently on a four-game losing streak, but that included losses to two programs receiving votes in the Division III poll. Suffolk, Va. native Ellis Wright will be the name to watch for the Hornets, as he is averaging 18.4 ppg this season on a 44% shooting clip from three.
