BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Radford women's track & field program is peaking at just the right time as the squad continued its historic indoor campaign to open the 2025 Virginia Tech Challenge inside Rector Field House on Friday night.
Just because championship season is right around the corner, that didn't mean that the Highlanders were done dropping some of the best performances in school history in an opening night that featured two all-time top-10 marks, nine personal records and three season bests.

NOTABLES
- The meet started out with a bang as
Sienna Bailey won the women's mile with a personal best time of 4:50.65. She wasn't the only standout in the race however as four Highlanders that toed the line set a personal record overall.
Mia Farley was right behind in third,
Megan Cash took fourth, Indi Fletcher crossed the line in sixth and
Sylvia Hemmer rounded things out in seventh, respectively. The strong showing improved Bailey to second overall in the Big South in the event.
- Both
Jaslyne Robinson and
Leah Moye had their best performances so far this season in the 60-meter hurdles. The duo each set a personal record in the preliminary round as Robinson finished fifth and Moye was right behind in eighth to auto qualify for the championship race. Robinson's time of 8.85 in the prelims improved her to No. 7 on Radford's all-time list in the event and eighth in the conference.
- In the 60-meter hurdles final, Robinson finished in sixth was Moye was right on her heels in seventh. With her time of 9.06, Moye set another personal record and moved into the No. 10 spot all-time in school history. She is also now ranked 11th in the Big South in the event.

Danae Niles is now tied for No. 6 all-time in the 60-meter dash after she posted a 7.78 to claim fifth in the preliminary round. She improved her standing and went on to finish fourth overall in the final. The personal record improved her to seventh in the conference in the event.
- The trio of
Katelyn Campbell,
Kayla Fields and
Natalie Preston teamed up to claim third, fourth and fifth in the women's 3000-meter final. Both Campbell and Preston set personal bests with their performance.

Raichelle Cornelius set a season best with her sixth-place finish in the women's 400-meter final. Her time of 57.36 is now fourth overall in the conference.

Logan Babbs placed third in the women's weight throw final to round out the evening.
NEXT UP
The Highlanders are right back to it for the final day of the Virginia Tech Challenge on Saturday, February 22. The field portion of the schedule gets underway at 11 AM ET, while the track slate will follow at 2 PM. Admission to Rector Field House is free of charge and
