Despite pushing across four runs in the bottom of the ninth, Radford once again just ran out of time with a hard fought 7-5 loss to the Bobcats.
Â
THE BREAKDOWN
- Tyler Kehoe paced the offense with three RBI off a 1-for-4 day at the dish. It was his second straight game with three RBI to give him seven overall over the three games against Quinnipiac.
- Breckin Nace finished up the series on absolute fire with another 4-for-5 outing that included a run scored. He went 6-for-13 in the series (.462) with three runs and three RBI after he joined the starting lineup in the opener.
- Hunter Keen drew two walks and made the most of his opportunities on the base paths with two runs scored.
- Jhonkeanu Perez added a 1-for-5 afternoon with a run.
- Carter Richardson also drew a base on balls and came around to score a single time.
- Noah Toole (1-for-5), Tyler Sparrer (1-for-4) and Corbin Grantham (1-for-4) all chipped in a base knock apiece, respectively.
- Hunter Howard has a big day out of the pen with 2.1 shutout innings of work.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Quinnipiac got on the board first with two runs in the top of the first, but Radford answered with a run in the bottom half of the frame to make it a 2-1 game.
- The Bobcats used a slow but steady approach to add to their lead with a run in the second, fifth and six and two in the ninth to jump out ahead 7-1.
- That is when the Highlanders made their move, highlighted by a clutch two-out, two-RBI double by Kehoe that plated Nace and Keen to cut the Quinnipiac lead to 7-5.
- With the game-tying run at the plate, the Bobcats were able to slam the door to escape with the 7-5 win.
