Women’s Lacrosse Falls in Road Battle at George Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Radford women's lacrosse program fell in a tough final Saturday afternoon at George Washington 18-1.
PLAY BY PLAY
An intense George Washington defense would keep the Highlanders offense contained throughout the match. Possessions were difficult to come by, as the hosts opened the match on an 11-0 scoring run through the first half.
The offensive struggles continued into the second half as George Washington continued adding to their lead. With five minutes to go, Mady Cheney scored the lone goal of the game for the Highlanders before the match went final 18-1.
UP NEXT
The Highlanders will return to action in a week's time when they come back home to host Youngstown State at noon on Saturday, March 8th.
