CHARLOTTE – The Radford women's track & field program put an exclamation point on its record-setting 2025 indoor campaign with the conclusion of the Big South Championship on Saturday.
The final day of competition was highlighted by
Jeylah Hamrick's championship in the 400-meter, a silver medal by the 4x400-meter relay squad and yet another podium finish by
Sienna Bailey in the 3,000-meter final as the Highlanders posted 58 points as a unit to finish fourth overall.
"Day two was simply outstanding," an excited director of track & field
Shelli Sayers said. "We were on a mission to get to fourth and we did it. I could not be prouder of this team and their fight."
"Jeylah's 400-meter championship is incredible. She is the second fastest to ever do it in the entire Big South. She is just so impressive.
Sienna Bailey pulled off one of the hardest triples I have ever witnessed. We have room to grown and incredible momentum heading into the outdoor season."

Jeylah Hamrick was crowned the champion of the Big South in the 400-meter with another performance for the record books. She put up a blazing time of 54.09 which set a new personal best in the event. To go with the personal record, the time also reset the school record by nearly a second, which she just set the day before in the preliminary round. To add even more accolades to the impressive performance, it was also the second fastst time ever recorded by a Big South student-athlete in the event.
PODIUM SQUAD
- The 4x400-meter relay squad of
Raichelle Cornelius,
Jordan Jackson,
Jaslyne Robinson and Hamrick raced to the silver medal with a second place showing at 3:46.11. The performance was a new season best for the group by over three seconds.

Sienna Bailey took to the podium for the second time is as many days with a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter final. She crossed the line with a personal best time of 9:39.77. The showing was also good for an all-time best mark in school history.
NOTABLES
- To go with her championship in the 400-meter, Hamrick also claimed fifth overall in the 200-meter dash final.

Logan Babbs also came in fifth overall in the weight throw final.
- Cornelius took sixth overall in the 400-meter final and eighth in the 200-meter final.

Leah Moye advanced to the championship round and finished sixth overall in the triple jump final.
- Along with her silver medal in the 4x400, Robinson also clocked in at eighth overall in the 60-meter hurdles final.
- Bailey put an exclamation point on her standout freshman campaign with a ninth-place finish in the mile final.
Megan Cash was right behind in 11th and
Mia Farley rounded things out in 14th overall. Bailey finished as the fastest freshman in the championship round.
