HARRISONBURG, Va. – It might sound like a broken record at this point, but it just goes to show the outstanding year the Radford women's track & field program is having as the Highlanders dropped another huge outing at the 2025 JMU Invitational inside Sentara Park on Saturday.
The standout performance was highlighted by two all-time top 10 best marks, three personal records and two season bests to continue the record-setting 2025 campaign for the Radford squad.

Makayla Nelson posted a top five mark in program history in the high jump as she leaped a personal best of 1.58m meters (5'-2.25") to claim fifth overall in the event's final round. She is now slotted in at fourth in the conference. She also advanced to the long jump final for the second weekend in a row and now ranks eighth in the event all-time in program history, respectively.

Jeylah Hamrick continued her unreal start to the outdoor season with her second straight victory. This time she took the top spot in the women's 200-meter final with a blazing 24.35 performance. She is now ranked fifth overall in the Big South.

Leah Moye also jumped into the record books as she in now ranked eighth all-time in the triple jump in school history after a best leap of 11.22 meters (36'-9.75"). She went on to take sixth overall in the event.

Aliyah Taylor also joined Moye in the triple jump finals with a personal best performance of 10.98 meters (36'-0.25). She went on to take seventh, just a single spot behind her teammate as the duo posted stellar performances.

Jaslyne Robinson posted a season best of 1:03.79 in the 400-meter hurdles final. She won her section and finished fifth overall. The showing was also good for fifth in the Big South.

Mya Rosser had herself an afternoon. She started off her meet with a personal record in the hammer throw finals to claim eighth overall. Her best toss went for 39.86 meters (130'-9"), a mark that ranks 16th in the conference. She bested her old personal best three times with her performance on Saturday. She also went on to set a season best in the discus throw and moved into 14th in the Big South.

The Highlanders return right back to the track with the two-day Virginia Challenge that runs Friday, April 19 through Saturday, April 20 at Lannigan Field in Charlottesville, Virginia.
