Bochenek and Jakubik Sign with Highlanders for Upcoming 2025 Season

RADFORD, VA. – Radford Volleyball Head Coach Savanna Hammond has announced the exciting signing of two new Highlanders for the upcoming 2025 season.

Maja Bochenek, a 5'11 middle blocker from Olkusz, Poland and Wiktoria Jakubik, a 6-3 outside hitter from Grajewo, Poland, are the pair of new Highlanders who will be making their red and white debuts next season.

Named to NJCAA All-Region 16 First Team as well as Missouri Community College Athletics Conference (MCCAC) All-Conference First Team in 2023.
Cowley Invitational All-Tournament and Grizzly Invitational All-Tournament during the 2023 season
Earned the "Olimpijka" award for outstanding sports and scientific achievements.
MVP of the semi-final of the Polish Cadet Championship in 2021. Was also MVP of the tournament of the first Silesian senior league in 2020.
Named MVP of the final of the Silesian Cadet Championships for 2019/2020.
Played for the Polish Youth National Team in 2019.
Earned the Missouri State University West Plains Community Award during her freshman season while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA and was named to the NJCAA First All-Academic Team of the Year.

Participated in the Semi-Finals of the Polish Junior Women's Volleyball Championship during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons.
Named MVP in the Quarter-Finals of the Polish Junior Women's Volleyball Championship for the 2022-23 season.
Participated in the Women's Second League in Poland.
NJCAA Region XVI Champion Women's Volleyball Division 1 and NJCAA Midwest A District Champion Women's Volleyball Division 1 during 2024.
Named to Missouri State University-West Plains Chancellor's List for Spring and Fall 2024.

HAMMOND ON WIKTORIA: "Wiktoria brings a lot of maturity and size to our lineup. Her dominance at the net is something we are excited to bring to Radford."
