Devlin Tabbed Big South Co-Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Monday afternoon that Ryane Devlin has been named the Co-Freshman of the Week after her assist on the Highlanders' game-winner against Longwood last week.
Devlin was at the center of the Highlanders' 1-0 victory over the Lancers last week. Coming off the bench late in the first half, Devlin's throw-in led to a game-winning goal by Lilly Short. With a downpour that lasted most of the second half, the goal was crucial in the Highlanders sealing their second straight Big South victory. The assist was also the first in Devlin's young Radford career.
The weekly award is the second for the Highlanders this season, as Devlin joins fellow freshman Abby Walsh who earned the newcomer weekly award earlier this season.
Radford is looking to stay hot in Big South play when they host a pivotal match-up this upcoming weekend. Radford will host reigning conference champions USC Upstate for a 6 p.m. kick at Cupp Stadium with all the action also being streamed on ESPN+.
