Men’s Basketball Looks to Bounce Back Against High Point Friday Night

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's basketball program will look to bounce back in another pivotal Big South battle Friday night in the Dedmon Center. Radford and High Point square off in a 7 p.m. tip on ESPN+, rescheduled due to the threat of potential weather this weekend.

Highlander fans are encouraged to take part in the department's alumni weekend doubleheader this Friday with the women's game tipping at 4:30 p.m. and the men's game shortly following. A LOOK BACK
Radford and High Point will meet for the 61st time in program history on Friday. Radford is looking to snap a seven-game losing skid to the Panthers, with their last win coming back in 2023 which concluded a 6-1 stretch by the Highlanders in the series. Radford and High Point met three times last season, with two of those three games coming down to one shot. Overall, in the series, Radford owns an 18-11 record when playing at home.

JONES SCORCHING HOT
The beat didn't slow down for the Big South's reigning Co-Player of the Week Del Jones who dropped another 25 points against Winthrop earlier this week. Jones has scored 25 or more points in four of Radford's last five games. Big South opponents have struggled in containing the sophomore guard who is averaging a team-high 21.2 points per game to go with 12 assists, 5.3 rebounds per game and an impressive 50% shooting mark.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
The Panthers came into the 2025-26 season as the preseason favorites for the Big South and have so far lived up to those expectations. High Point has just one blemish on the conference season so far, a road loss to Winthrop, with wins over USC Upstate, Charleston Southern, Gardner-Webb, Longwood and UNC Asheville. High Point leads the conference in most offensive categories inclulding points per game, scoring margin, overall shooting, and three-point shooting. It's a team effort on all facets with six players averaging 8.0+ ppg led by Cam'Ron Fletcher's 16.5 ppg.
