CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Tuesday afternoon that four Highlanders including Noel Zimbeva (Midfielder of the Year and first-team all-conference), Jackson Boreham (second-team all-conference), Brice Hall (all-freshman) and Ben Miller (all-academic) have all earned end-of-season awards for the Highlanders.
Â
Zimbeva powered the Highlanders to an exciting upstart season in 2026 as he led the team in points with 17 behind seven goals and three assists. The senior midfielder is the first Highlander to win the Midfielder of the Year award and the first to win a player of the year title for Radford since 2018. He notched game winners against VMI and UNC Asheville with four of his seven goals coming over the final six matches of the season during a crucial stretch for Radford. His season totals for shots on goal and points both ranked top 10 in the Big South. The Harare, Zimbabwe native earned honors throughout the season such as the Big South's midseason watch list and was named to the Zimbabwe National Team for U-23 CAF Olympic Qualifying.
Â
Another exciting newcomer to the Highlanders in 2026 was Jackson Boreham, the captain of Radford's defense. The junior defender made an immediate impact and has earned second-team all-conference honors for his efforts. Boreham immediately appeared on the stat sheet early this season with a game-winner against James Madison and was relatively quiet on the scoring end until providing pivotal goals against High Point and Longwood as the season came to a close. He also earned the Highlanders lone weekly award this season, the Defensive Player of the Week nod in the penultimate week of the season.
Â
Thanks to an impressive debut campaign, Hall has earned all-freshman honors for Radford. He is the first Highlander to be named to the all-freshman squad since 2021. His three goals this season were tied for the second most on the team while he also tallied an assists to finish with seven points. His three goals all came at the tail end of the season as Radford made a late push as he scored against Presbyterian, UNC Asheville and High Point. Of his 30 total shots this season, 16 came on target as he was efficient with a .533 shot on goal percentage.
Â
Rounding out the Highlanders all-conference honors was Miller who earned the team's all-academic nod for an impressive season in the stat sheets and on campus. To go with an impressive 4.0 GPA as a sports management major, Miller has been the starting goalkeeper for Radford in all but one game this season. His 66 saves knocked on the door of Radford's top-10 single season list which has only been cracked twice since 2004, including his 79 saves from 2025 which ranked eighth all time.
