A LOOK BACK
When Radford and Winthrop met earlier this season, it was a tight affair inside Winthrop Coliseum. Radford looked to pull away late, but a big late rally and shot at the buzzer lifted Winthrop to the 76-75 win. Del Jones led Radford's scoring efforts with 25 points while Radford had a strong shooting night overall on just 45 shot attempts due in part to a season-high 19 turnovers. Radford owns a slim 46-44 lead in the series history.

JOHNSON EARNS NOTICE
After a big week, Jaylon Johnson earned Big South recognition picking up his first weekly award as a Highlander. He scored 18 points in a tight win at Charleston Southern including two big free throws down the stretch that helped close out the game. Johnson also tied his Radford high in points with 23 at Presbyterian. In the double overtime thriller, Johnson took over shooting a perfect three-for-three during the two overtime periods. His pair of triples in the second overtime put Presbyterian away for good in the 93-84 win.

FIRST OVERTIME GAME, FIRST OVERTIME WIN
In Radford's last time out, the Highlanders were forced into overtime for the first time this season at Presbyterian. Radford had to rally back trailing at halftime to force the extra periods. The overtime win was the first in as many tries in head coach Zach Chu's career, and Radford's first overtime win away from the Dedmon Center since last season's Big South Quarterfinals against the same Blue Hose. The win was also the first this season for Radford when trailing at the half.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles will look to continue their streak as the hottest team in the Big South. Winthrop has won eight consecutive games to establish a lead atop the Big South standings. Logan Duncomb has led that charge averaging 23.6 ppg in conference play which ranks second highest in the Big South. Winthrop's defense has also been in charge, holding conference foes to 71.8 ppg and a measly 28.5% shooting clip from three which are both best in conference.
