Biography

PRIOR TO RADFORD
Standout player for the Georgia Southern program last season totaling 241 points and 225 rebounds while setting the program record for single-season shooting percentage at an impressive 63.4% clip (102-161) ... One of only four players to appear in all 33 games starting in 29 while leading the team in shooting, rebounding (6.8), blocks (33) and double-doubles (4) ... Recorded the first point in the history of Georgia Southern's Hill Convocation Center with a 12-point performance against North Florida ... Spent the 2023-24 season at Rhode Island appearing in 32 games with 16 starts. Average 4.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while leading the team with 23 blocks ... During the 2022-23 season, earned first team all-Southern Conference honors with Florida Southwestern averaging 11.6 ppg and 9.4 rpg with 13 double-doubles ... Also played for Western Texas in 2021-22 earning all-WJCAC honors averaging in double figures for scoring and rebounding  while recording 10 double-doubles during the campaign ... Attended Massanutten Military Academy prior to the collegiate scene averaging 13.7 ppg and 8.8 rpg as a senior.

We place a high value on Tyson's ability to finish at the rim, breaking the Georgia Southern single-season field goal percentage record this past season. On the defensive end, Tyson can block shots and become the anchor of our defense. Tyson has participated and been successful in multiple levels of college basketball and we are really excited for him to bring that experience with him to our program."
