Nominated for inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team, which celebrates a student-athlete's leadership beyond sports... Named Big South Honorable Mention after the season... Attended McNeil High School in Austin, Texas. Under the leadership of head coach Jenni Darlow, she helped the lead the Mavericks to the 6A playoffs each year of her career. She helped the Mavericks post an 8-2 record her senior season, as she earned all-state honors and was named a USA Lacrosse All-American... Also was a four-year varsity letter-winner in Cross Country and Track and Field... Played club with Texas Playhard Outlaws
A decorated high school athlete, Cheney was a seven-time MVP at her high school: twice with the track team, twice with the lacrosse team and three times with the cross country team. She was also tabbed as an Under Armour All-American in 2021. She excelled in her studies, gaining induction into the National Honor Society as well as her school’s science honor society, math honor society and Spanish honor society.
