Nania enters his first season in the New River Valley with the Radford Baseball program bringing with him an impressive track record of success both on the field and in the dugout.

Before joining the Highlanders, Nania spent three seasons as the Head Baseball Coach at Patrick & Henry Community College, where he compiled a 90–55 overall record. Under his leadership, the Patriots rose as high as No. 12 in the national rankings and became one of the premier junior college programs in the country. His program ranked in the top five nationally in player advancement to NCAA Division I and II levels, with more than 90 athletes moving on during his tenure. His teams also produced two NJCAA All-Americans, one Rawlings Gold Glove winner, one Region 10 Player of the Year, and 11 All-Region selections.

In addition to his collegiate success, Nania made a major impact in summer collegiate baseball as the Manager of the Martinsville Mustangs in the Coastal Plain League. He became the organization’s All-Time Winningest Manager with more than 100 victories, led the team to its first 30-win season in two decades, and coached the program’s first CPL Player of the Year.

Nania began his coaching career at Patrick & Henry as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, where he handled recruiting, scouting, and worked closely with catchers and hitters. During this time, the Patriots captured their first Region 10 and Atlantic Division titles and advanced to the College World Series, finishing fourth nationally.

As a player, Nania starred at Patrick & Henry, earning two All-Region selections and All-Defensive Team honors. He continued his collegiate playing career at Winston-Salem State University and La Roche University.

A native of Export, Pa., Nania holds a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education and Youth Development.
