Radford Continues Tough Non-Conference Slate with Televised Contest at George Mason Friday

RADFORD, Va. -- Coming off its longest homestand of the season, Radford will continue its challenging non-conference slate with a 7 p.m. televised (MASN) contest at George Mason Friday evening in Fairfax, Va.

HIGHLANDER HITS
- The Highlanders bring a 3-6 mark into tonight's tilt following an 85-81 loss to James Madison Sunday afternoon. The Dukes connected on 65.4 percent of their attempts in the fi nal 20 minutes of action to rally from 11 points down. 

- Despite the setback, Radford got 20-point performances from Joey Lynch-Flohr (23) and Martell McDuffy (20) and Amir Johnson recorded his fourth career double-double with 16 points and 10 assists. 

- George Mason enters the 14th meeting all-time with the Highlanders 6-2 overall, but hasn't been in action since edging Drexel 56-55 (Dec. 6), 13 days ago. 

- Kenny Thomas continues to lead Radford in scoring at 15.6 per outing, which also ranks T9th among league leaders, while Artsiom Parakhouski's 9.3 rebounds per game are tops in the Big South Conference. Including Thomas, four of Radford's starters are averaging double fi gures through nine contests. Parakhouski is turning in over 14 per contest, while Lynch-Flohr and McDuffy are sitting at 13.2 and 12.0, respectively. 

- Lynch-Flohr, who was voted to the preseason all-conference squad by a number publications, is a native of Fairfax and product of Fairfax High School. 

- The Highlanders are 10-26 (.277) all-time against teams from the Colonial Athletic Association. Radford has already played two other schools from the CAA this season, William & Mary (11/25) and James Madison (12/14). 

- Radford returns to action Tuesday evening in a 7 p.m. tip against West Virginia in Morgantown,
W.Va.
