CONWAY, S.C. - Dana Gentile's early second half goal propelled Coastal Carolina to a 1-0 Big South women's soccer win over Radford on rainy Monday evening.
Radford sophomore goalkeeper
Lisa Lubke (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) made seven saves for the Highlanders (6-7-0, 3-1-0 Big South), who had their three game winning streak stopped by the Chanticleers (4-10-1, 2-2-0).
Gentile got Coastal Carolina on the board in the 49th when Marissa Terry fired a shot that Lubke knocked down, but Gentile put home the rebound to give the Chanticleers the go-ahead tally.
Radford outshot the Chanticleers 6-5 in the second half, but couldn't score.
Of Lubke's seven stops, five came in the first half.
Radford closes out its home schedule this coming weekend, when the Highlanders host Winthrop (7 p.m.) on Friday and Gardner-Webb (1 p.m.) on Sunday.
