Men's Basketball Concludes Homestand Monday against Coastal Carolina

Game Notes

HIGHLANDER HITS 
- Winners of four straight and nine of its last 10 outings, Radford will conclude its brief homestand with a 7 p.m. contest against Coastal Carolina Monday evening at the Dedmon Center. 
- The Highlanders, who are tied for the top spot in the league standings with VMI, enter 13-10 on the year, including 10-2 in Big South Conference play, following a 78-61 win over Presbyterian Saturday evening. 
- Radford is off to its best start in Big South play since recording a 12-2 conference mark during the 2000-01 season, which was also the last time it recorded 10 conference victories in a campaign. 
- Art Parakhouski (Minsk, Belarus), who now ranks ninth nationally in rebounds per game with a 10.6 average, moved into 10th among Big South leaders in scoring with his 21 point performance against Presbyterian. To go along with the 6-11 center's 14.7 per outing, Joey Lynch-Flohr (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) (13.9) and Kenny Thomas (Richmond, Va./Highland Springs) (13.0) are also averaging double figures for the Highlanders. 
- As a team, Radford leads the Big South in rebounding margin (+4.5), field-goal percentage defense (.395) and three-point field goal percentage defense (.308). 
- 12 of Radford's 13 wins this season have come by double figures. The Highlanders' only single-digit victory this year came in a 59-55 decision at Winthrop on Feb. 2. 
- Coming off a 70-68 victory over High Point Saturday evening thanks to Mario Sisinni's three-pointer with eight seconds remaining, Coastal Carolina enters the 49th meeting all-time 10-14 overall and 4-8 in the league. 
- Joseph Harris, who ranks second in the conference in rebounding (10.5) behind Parakhouski, continues to lead the Chanticleers in scoring at 14.5 points per outing. 
- Radford will hit the road for its final three road games of the season beginning with a 4:30 p.m. contest at UNC Asheville Saturday afternoon.

SERIES HISTORY 
- Tonight's meeting is the 49th all-time with Radford holding a 32-16 advantage. 
- Prior to this year's victory in Conway, Coastal Carolina had won three straight over the Highlanders. Radford is 18-6 against Coastal Carolina at home. 
- Earlier this season, The frontcourt duo of Joey Lynch-Flohr (17) and Art Parakhouski (15) combined to score 32 points and Chris McEachin (Norfolk, Va./Norview) added a then season-high 14 off the bench to lead Radford to a 68-52 victory over Coastal Carolina on Jan. 5. 
- As a team, Radford held the Chanticleers to just 29.7 percent (11-37) shooting in the second half and a final clip of 32.8 percent (22-67). To go along with their 44.7 percent (21-47) total from the floor, the Highlanders hit 22 of their 28 tries from the line.

LAST TIME OUT 
- Art Parakhouski led all scorers with 21 points and fellow junior Phillip Martin (Roanoke, Va./Roanoke Catholic) added a career-high 16 to lead Radford to a 78-61 win over Presbyterian Saturday at the Dedmon Center. 
- Parakhouski finished 8-for-11 from the floor and made all five of his attempts from the line to record his third 20-point game of the season. Martin missed just one of his five tries from the field, while going a perfect 2-of-2 from deep and connecting on all six of his free throws. Also in double figures for was Amir Johnson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Quaker Valley) and Joey Lynch-Flohr scoring 15 and 13. 
- The Highlanders opened the second half on an 11-2 run capped by a Parakhouski two-handed jam to make it 51-28 at the 15:15 mark. After Radford extended its lead to 23 on two separate occasions, the Blue Hose answered with a 14-1 flurry to cut the deficit to 54-44, but that's as close as they would get. Following a 30-second timeout, the Highlanders scored seven unanswered to push the margin back to 17 (69-52) and put the game out of reach. 
- On the defensive end, Radford compiled 13 steals, five blocks and forced 21 miscues. 
- Another bright spot for the Highlanders was their 24-for-27 (88.9 percent) showing from the charity stripe.
