RADFORD, Va. –
Radford women's soccer begins a season-ending three-game homestand, starting with weekend tilts against in-state rival Liberty Friday at 7 p.m. and High Point on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Highlanders lead the all-time series against both Liberty (12-7-3) and High Point (10-7-2).

The three programs have a combined ten NCAA appearances between them and are tied atop the Big South for the most postseason showings since 1998. Radford, however, has four NCAA showings in its repertoire all-time.

The Flames topped the Highlanders in last season's meeting 2-0.

Radford and High Point faced off twice last year, including an overtime thriller in the Big South Tournament, in which the Panthers won 1-0 and later went on to claim the league crown.

Despite dropping its last two matches, Radford outshot each opponent and is outshooting all adversaries by 96 attempts, 283-187. The Highlanders are also outscoring opponents 28-11 and are netting nearly two goals per game.

Ten different Radford players have found the back of the net at least once this season and are led in scoring by freshman Julie Ruh'e with seven.

To go along with the balanced attack, the assist distribution has also been a key factor. Radford has assisted on 23 of 28 goals scored this season and 13 Highlanders have been credited with a helper. Ruh'e, senior Latrice Lee, junior Maryellen Derenda and freshman Tyler Drake lead the team with three apiece.

Leading Liberty (5-8-2, 2-3-0 BSC) into Friday's matchup is Aimee Luurtsema and Silvia Betancourt, who rank second and third in the conference in goals scored, with nine and eight, respectively.

High Point (5-9-1, 3-1-1 BSC) travels to VMI on Friday before coming to Cupp Stadium on Sunday. The Panthers are led by Kelli Joline, who has 14 points (six goals, two assists) on the season.

“It will be nice to be home. We've only played two Big South games at home thus far. I would rather be at home but with so much at stake this weekend, it is going to take more than just playing at home,” said head coach Ben Sohrabi. We have to increase our level individually and as a team in all facets of the game. If we can do that we can definitely get some momentum going towards the Big South Tournament.”
