RADFORD, Va. -- Wednesday's scheduled softball season opener at Virginia Tech has been postponed due to field conditions at Tech Softball Park. No make-up date has been announced as the teams will look to try and find open dates later in the season.

The Highlanders are scheduled to host the Hokies for a single game on April 14 at 7 p.m.

Radford heads to the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga., this weekend for five games. The Highlanders open play on Friday, Feb. 26 at 1:30 pm against No. 16 Louisiana Lafayette and Kent State at 4 p.m.
