RADFORD, Va. – Despite a second half goal by Radford freshman Julie Ruh'e, the women's soccer team dropped a competitive match in overtime to Old Dominion, 2-1, Sunday afternoon at Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium.
Radford falls to 4-2-0 on the season, while ODU improves to 2-1-0 with the win.
Ruh'e netted the equalizer in the 58th minute on a nicely placed through ball by senior

Old Dominion quickly countered in extra time when Amber Cook placed a shot from outside the 18-yard box to the upper right 90, past a diving Che' Brown to record the victory.
Brown made several stops for Radford, sending away eight of 23 shots for the Monarchs on the afternoon. The Old Dominion offensive attack exploded in the second half, tallying 17 shots to Radford's three.
Radford received many scoring opportunities in the first half, including shots from freshman
Sahar Aflaki and
Rachel Conway that were sent away by two diving stops from Alvarado, keeping Radford off the scoreboard.
The Monarchs got on the scoreboard first when Kelly Evans collected a loose ball just outside of the six-yard box and dropped it in the back of the net to make the score 1-0.
