RADFORD, Va. –
Looking to extend their unbeaten streak to three, the Radford men's soccer team will conclude their brief homestand with a 6 p.m. contest against in-state foe Longwood Saturday evening at Cupp Stadium.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to help the Highlanders in their community service efforts. CLICK HERE for more details.

Radford, which opened its five-game home slate with a 1-0 victory over league-rival Liberty last weekend, enters the 11th all-time meeting with a 2-2-1 overall record.

Iyiola Awosika (London, England / Aylesbury Grammar) scored the game's only goal when he collected a poor Liberty clear and found the lower left net for his 12th career goal.

Awosika's 65th minute score earned him Big South Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Through five contests, Awosika ranks among conference leaders in points (6/T-3rd), points per game (1.20/T-2nd), goals (3/T-1st), goals per game (0.60/T-1st), shots (15/T-6th) and shots per game (3.00/T-5th).

Longwood comes into Saturday's contest 0-6-1 following its first result of the season, a 1-1 draw with VCU Wednesday in Farmville.

The Lancers trail the all-time series with Radford, 4-5-1.

Following their tilt with Longwood, the Highlanders head back on the road for a non-conference affair at Davidson Wednesday evening, before returning home for a 6 p.m. contest with Presbyterian next Saturday.
