Cormack Named Head Coach of Radford Men’s Soccer Program

RADFORD, Va. – Radford Athletics announced Tuesday morning that Andy Cormack has been promoted from the interim tag and named the 10th head coach in program history.

"I want to sincerely thank Athletic Director Robert Lineburg, Deputy Athletic Director Cory Durand, and the entire search committee for their trust and support," commented Cormack. "I'm honored to step into this role and take on the responsibility of leading the program forward. This program has a strong tradition and real potential. My focus will be on building upon that foundation through clear standards, competitive habits and a culture rooted in accountability and work ethic."

"This program has a proud tradition of excellence, and throughout the search process we were fortunate to evaluate a very strong pool of candidates. Andy stood out as the right leader to build on that legacy and guide our student-athletes toward continued success on and off the field."

Cormack is elevating into the position after spending the last three seasons with the Highlanders. Cormack spent his first two seasons as an assistant coach before being promoted to Associate Head Coach for the most recent 2025 Fall campaign. At the conclusion of the 2025 season, Cormack was named interim head coach.

During the 2025 season, Cormack helped oversee the Highlanders first postseason berth since 2019. The Highlanders earned two wins and four ties, most notably defeating Big South rival Longwood and tying a nationally ranked Gardner-Webb squad. Two Highlanders were tabbed to all-conference awards with three student-athletes earning Big South Player of the Week nods.

Prior to his time with Radford, Cormack was instrumental in leading St. Francis Brooklyn to three Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships, four NEC regular season titles, five NEC Tournament finalist honors, three NCAA Tournament appearances and one appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Along with the program's head and assistant coaches, Cormack was named to the NEC Coaching Staff of the Year four times and United Soccer Coaches Northeast Regional Coaching Staff twice.

Cormack was also a student-athlete for the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers, scoring golden goals that led to NEC Championships in 2013 and 2014. He would go on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in International Cultural Studies and a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management. Cormack also holds a master's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State in Athletic Administration and a U.S. Soccer Federation B coaching license. He and his wife Maggie have two children, William and Paula.
