HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Radford (6-4-0) used goals from five different players to overpower Alabama A&M, 6-0, in women's soccer action Monday evening at Bulldog Soccer Field. The match concluded the non-conference portion of the 2010 schedule.
The Alabama A&M (0-10-0) defense were on their heels in the first half, as the offensive attack for the Highlanders scored early and often, netting five goals in the first 36 minutes of action.

Megan Rhodes and freshman midfielder
Kathryn Johnston all had career-games for Radford.
Vasquez tallied the first multi-goal game of her career when she tacked on the third and sixth goals of the game for the Highlanders.
Rhodes netted her first career goal in the 27th minute and also assisted on the second goal for Vasquez.
Johnston converted her first career score in the 36th minute, to give Radford a 5-0 lead going into halftime.
Just four minutes into the match, sophomore
Mary Wiley put Radford on the scoreboard on a pass from Vasquez. Freshman Julie Ruh'e would also make her mark on the game, as she contributed a goal in the 11th minute and an assist on the first Vasquez goal.
“I was happy with the result and the possession,” said head coach
Ben Sohrabi. “We played a lot of players today and I thought they all played at a high level. We now look forward to conference play on Friday.”
Radford will begin league play on Friday Oct. 1 when they travel to UNC Asheville for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
