RADFORD, Va. --
Coming off a 2-1 win over New River Valley rival Virginia Tech, Radford will conclude its 2011 home slate with a 6 p.m. “Senior Night” match against league-foe Gardner-Webb Saturday at Cupp Stadium.

Prior to the contest, the men's soccer program will honor seniors Iyiola Awosika (London, England / Aylesbury Grammar), Kevin Fleming (Centreville, Va. / Westfield), Brian Gwanzura (Harare, Zimbabwe / Harare), Aldo Macias (Dumfries, Va. / Edison), Carter Mills (Culpeper, Va. / Culpeper County), Anthony Payne (Manassas, Va. / Osbourn Park) and Ryan Stinnett (Woodbridge, Va. / Woodbridge).

Unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 at home, the Highlanders enter the home finale 8-7-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the Big South.

On Tuesday, Luis Grande's (Caracas, Venezuela / U.E. Colegio Los Arcos) two first-half strikes proved to be the difference as Radford recorded its second win over the Hokies in the last three meetings.

The Highlanders outshot Virginia Tech 14-6 and finished with a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks in front of 2,148 fans.

Awosika continues to pace Radford and rank second among league leaders in goals (8) and total points (19). In addition to leading the Big South, sophomore Chel Ho Kim Park (Santander, Spain) ranks T-13th nationally with eight assists.

Gardner-Webb, which has won five straight, comes in with an 8-6-2 overall record and 5-2 mark in league play.

The Runnin' Bulldogs, who currently sit alone in second in the conference, haven't played since last weekend and are just 2-5 on the road this season.

Chris Davis leads Gardner-Webb offensively with five goals scored and 12 total points.

Radford will close out its regular season with a pair of road games beginning with a 4 p.m. contest at Liberty on Nov. 2.
