BOTETOURT, Va. – Nichole Beall went 4-for-4 with five RBI as Radford closed out the Radford Invitational with a 9-0 victory over Delaware in six innings from Botetourt Sports Complex, Sunday afternoon.
Beall recorded a home run and two doubles on her way to a single-game career-high in hits (tie) and RBI. For her efforts this weekend (.625, 10 hits, 8 RBI, 4 doubles), she was named the tournament's offensive MVP.

Jackie Jenkins, the tournament's Co-Pitching MVP, turned in her second complete game shutout. She scattered six hits and struck out three to improve to 7-0.

Back-to-back RBI doubles by
Hannah Ojeda and Beall made it 2-0 in the top of the first.
In the third, a two-run double by Beall doubled Radford's run output to 4-0. Shifflett singled and scored in both frames.
The Highlanders added a run on a laser over the leftfield fence by Beall in the fifth and four more in the sixth to make it 9-0. It was Beall's team-leading six long ball of the season.

The Highlanders recorded 11 hits on the day, while the Blue Hens (7-16) registered six, two by Michelle Grap.
Radford returns to its home field on Wednesday, March 23 for its league-opener against in-state foe Liberty. First pitch of the single game is scheduled for 3 p.m. at RU Softball field.
