LINDA K. EPLING STADIUM INFO

Radford looks to snap a six-game slide on Tuesday, when the Highlanders travel to Beckley, West Virginia's Linda K. Epling Stadium to face Marshall in a midweek doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.

The game time was moved up from its original start of 6 p.m.

Marshall and Radford will meet for the second time in Beckley, the approximate midway point between Huntington and Radford. Epling Stadium, the home of the West Virginia Miners of the Prospect League (summer collegiate), opened last spring. The Thundering Herd typically plays their home games at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston, W.Va.

Last season, the Highlanders got three RBIs each from Matt Hillsinger and Matt Mack, including Mack's three triples, in a 15-5 rout of the Thundering Herd on May 15 in Beckley.

The Highlanders were swept and held scoreless in three games at Coastal Carolina over the weekend. For their efforts, the Chanticleers re-entered college baseball's Top 25, ranked No. 24 this week.

Marshall (18-26) is nine games out of first place in Conference USA, but took the second game 7-1 and lost a pair of one-run contests against East Carolina in Charleston over the weekend.

The series between the Thundering Herd and Highlanders began in 2009, with Marshall leading the all-time ledger 4-1.

Radford returns to Big South action on Friday, hosting a three-game series at RU Baseball Stadium against High Point.
