RADFORD, Va. –
Late in the match (80'), Jenna Caudle scored off a corner kick as East Tennessee State held off Radford, 1-0, Sunday night in women's soccer action.

East Tennessee State's (1-2) Samantha Kron set up to take the corner in the 80th minute and her ball sailed over the Radford defense to find the foot of Caudle, who put it in the back of the net for her second goal of the season.

Radford (2-2) battled all night long, taking five shots on goal, but couldn't find the equalizer.  Shots were even between the two teams, 12-12, but the Buccaneers capitalized on corners, 5-3.

“It was a tough game between two pretty even teams,” commented head coach Ben Sohrabi.  “We had a set piece that we almost finished and they had a set piece that they put in the back of the net, so I give them credit for their opportunity.”

Among Radford's promising chances was freshman Chelsea Hayes (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest), who found a ball on a nearside break but her shot fell into the arms of ETSU's keeper.  Later Sahar Aflaki (Gainesville, Va./Battlefield) touched a ball back to Rachel Conway (Kitchener, Ontario/Forest Heights Collegiate) who fired a shot from 20 yards out, but just missed high.  Conway and Julie Ruh'e (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) each tallied four shots.

Lisa Lubke (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) made three saves on the night and Caitlin Caughan picked up the win for ETSU, making four saves.
