RADFORD, Va. –
The Radford women's soccer team will take on Tennessee Tech Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. to conclude a season-long four-game home stand.

The Golden Eagles will travel to Longwood on Friday before playing the Highlanders on Sunday.  Tech's two wins of the season came against East Tennessee State and UNC Asheville, both Radford opponents this year.

It took an extra frame for the Highlanders to slide past Tennessee Tech, 1-0, in last year's matchup.  Julie Ruh'e (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) notched the game-winner on a 30-yard strike 6:28 into the overtime period, becoming the first player during that season to record double-digit points.

Freshman striker Nicole Johnston (Liverpool, England/Chesterfield) recorded her first-career multi-goal effort in a 4-0 win over Alabama A&M last week.  She found the back of the net just 21 seconds into the match and in the 31st minute.  Leading scorers Ruh'e and freshman Chelsea Hayes (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) also scored and added an assist apiece.

LEAGUE LEADERS
As a team, the Highlanders are at the top of the Big South leaderboard in seven out of 10 categories.  Offensively, Radford is leading the way in goals (14), goals per game (2.80), points (39), shots (79) and are second in assists (11) and corners (24).

Highlighting the stifling defensive play organized by senior goalkeeper Lisa Lubke (Columbus, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales) and a young back line headed by sophomore Tyler Drake (Palmyra, Va./Fluvanna County), Radford is currently first in goals-against average (1.05), goals allowed (5), and shutouts (3).

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
The Golden Eagles are led in scoring with two goals apiece from Sarah Gawthrop, Kerri Reid and Jacquie Watkins.  Taylor Hicks, Chelsea Ladd Ellie Iaciofano have also found the back of the net.  Scoring has been more of an individual effort, as only three of Tech's eight goals have been assisted.  The Golden eagles are also being out-shot 70-104.  Keeper Becca Toler has made 32 saves and has one clean sheet.
